Stealing Sunset


From the Phnom Bakheng Temple, hundreds of people gather every afternoon at 4:30 p.m. anticipating the setting sun across Angkor. I had a very nice vantage point on one of the upper walls, with a beautiful view to the west. I was baking in the late day sun, sweat pouring down me. People were chatting, laughing and finding their spots. As the sun got closer to the horizon, all got quieter.

It was the perfect scene for the perfect crime…
